Technical Working Groups

The Technical Working Groups will work on specific topics decided by the General Assembly. Following the 1st General Assembly, 8 TWGs were established in May 2024, their work being started in June or October 2024.

The TWGs bring together various stakeholders such as developers, vendors, research institutes, financial institutions, representatives of the supply chain, training centres and representatives from the civil society.

The European Commission will provide technical support to the relevant working groups also with its direct and indirect research actions on safety and safeguards for SMRs.

The Working Groups may convene multiple times a year.

The Working Groups will receive administrative support by an entity (or multiple entities) designated by the industry in agreement with the European Commission.
